Hello! It's been a while I know. School and work commitments got me prayin the days would speed up just a little. But nail art makes me happy and I decided I need to come out of my hole or I'll go crazy. I'm bringing you a water marble thanks to the prompt from The Lacquer Ring ladies! Let's get into it
I started with a base of A-England - Dancing with Nureyev on all my fingers. Oh my gosh I forgot how luxurious these are... I want to buy all of them.
After that I marbled three fingers. I used A-England- Tristam, Dancing with Nureyev, and Enchanted Polish - Disco H20.
I don't really know what design I was going for, I just know I needed to switch it up from my go to marble stripes. And of course they're all super shiny/holographic so the glare is insane. My bad!
Hope you enjoyed this post! Be sure to check out everyone else's marbles :)
Not having a set schedule makes me a lot happier. That on top of not having any time to blog since I'm back in school and juggling tons of work responsibility. So right now I'm just aiming at posting 1-3x a month. I find the longer my hiatus is, the more I enjoy coming back. Hope you stick with me during those times!
Today I've got a simple post with one of my favorite looks, the double accent.
Look at me posting three times in the week like I'm some kind of real blogger! Haha. Today's post is brought to you by The Lacquer Ring! Today's prompt is Under the Sea.
As you can see I wasn't too creative with it. I just stuck on some mermaid vinyls from Twinkled T and sponged on some O.P.I This Gown Needs A Crown for that shimmery scale look. I really wanted to keep the focus on this gorgeous thermal (Swimming With Mermaids - Polished By KPT), so I didn't overpower it with pearls and studs that usually adorn a lot of mermaid nail looks.
And of course it was a million degrees in my house so I couldn't catch in the deep jade shade (cold). I love simple manicures like this. And with the thermal it kinda gave me two looks for the work of one! Be sure to check out the looks from the other ladies in the Lacquer Ring! Hope you have a great Thursday.
I'm trying to balance my weekend with the right amount of chores and fun. And mentally preparing myself for the week. I work at a center that provides care for children and I have the opening shift at 6:30 am this week. Pray for ya girl lol.
Anyhow, check out what I have for this stamping Saturday!
Hello hello all. It's been 5 weeks since I last blogged. I have definitely been painting my nails in the in between time but a combination of lack of passion and time for blogging left this place and my Instagram a little dusty. It's hard to keep up with stuff you feel like no one is reading. But this is one of my only outlets so I figured I should get back into it. And what better way to come back then join a nail group like The Lacquer Ring!
Glam Polish Below Zero is from her Mid-Winter's Dream collection which is still available!
It's a gorgeous bright blue micro glitter polish with a jelly like formula that builds up easily with 2-3 coats.
My swatch shows three thin coats with top coat. Such a dream to apply and I get a great 3-4 day wear out of it, which is awesome because I have 0 time for complicated nails during the week. I just like somethin pretty to slap on and be able to hold up in the pool and during work.
Sorry there aren't more pictures! Don't you hate when you look back on your film roll and realize most of them are crappy? Psh. Hope you enjoyed this short post!
I've actually had a ton of pictures saved since the beginning of March but never sat down to type everything up. Bad blogger. So hopefully this week I'll be posting them all up instead of them collecting dust!
Today I am showing you Polar Lights from Glam Polish's Mid-Winter's Dream Collection!
Hey all! Sorry I have been M.I.A again. Work responsibilities and summer planning is crazy. On top of that I'm trying to lose weight and with all that planning it just doesn't leave time for blogging. But I had to come out of hiding to discuss Sunny's Body Products! I'll be doing a full review on her exclusive spring box so please scroll down to read more. It's a little lengthy so if you're not all about that then I've summed it up at the bottom of the post!
Yay! I'm back... again. I was just getting back into the swing of things but then my computer started actin a fool so I had to get that looked at. So let me start gettin stuff up before somethin else goes wrong! Here we go.. Cirque Colors Lady Liberty.
Wow. It's only been two weeks but it feels like an eternity. Did anyone miss me? Lol probably not but it's okay because I missed blogger. I sprained my finger a couple weeks ago and it's healing faster than I thought but for the first week or so I couldn't really bend it at all and it made it kind of awkward to hold a brush and paint. So.. I sadly took a break. It sucked! Naked nails for longer than a week???? Ugh. But now I'm back in action and will hopefully be posting a couple times a week again!
And what better day to come back then STAMPING SATURDAY? Today I have a gorgeous polish I have been dying to get. A-England Crown of Thistles!
Two dreamy coats (I wasn't expecting anything else) and it's pretty much a one coater. Two coats makes the color more vivid and long lasting though. It's such a gorgeous shade of purple, almost jewel toned, which is funny because the description on Adina's page describes it as an amethyst hue.
Atop the beautiful Crown of Thistles is MoYou Pro Plate 12 stamped with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On. I also used my new Creative Stamper! I will have a post with separate thoughts about that though.
I'ts 12:56 am and I should really be in bed but Nu Shooz just came on my music shuffle and what can I say? I just can't wait to post this. I hope you enjoyed this post! If it's wordy sorry.. I just missed typing about nails so much.
I'm on a roll with my goal to post everyday this week so let's keep it goin! This was a water marble I did last week. I wasn't really happy with it at all but.. I decided to post it anyway. Something about my color choice bugs me. Anyway I used Glam Polish - Sorceress which I swatched here (omg I was so tan back then...) and Glam Polish - Bewitched for the glitter accents.
The marbling is done with Sally Hansen - White On and O.P.I - Kiss Me I'm Brazilian.
I hope you like it more than I did! :) happy Wednesday!
Oh my gosh guys I have such a beautiful polish to show you! Oddly enough I feel more confident photographing flashy/unique polishes as opposed to cremes. They do all the work for me and I just pose my fingers and click away. Is that just me? Also, today I'm back to work after a long weekend so may the force be with me when I have this pretty polish on. Good luck to everyone going back into the real world today. Anyway enough with the chat, on to what's really important in life. GLITTER.
Hey all! I hope you are having a great Saturday! And if you have a significant other I hope you are having a great Valentine's Day. I sure don't have a Valentine but I'm havin a blast by myself as usual haha. Got some candy, scored some awesome sunglasses for an even more awesome price, and got my eyebrows did. Winning day so far. And I think my nails are pretty cool too. Check em out
The creme base is Winter Blue from Bundle Monster. It's a greyed out sky blue with an okay formula. The first coat is kinda streaky but it evens out at 2 and I did 3 just to make sure everything was nice and neat neat. It's such a pretty color though. Swatch below has top coat as well.
I was looking through my Bundle Monster plates and I happened upon this design (BM 207) I never used because it was too small. But now that I know the stretching technique with my trusty squishy stamper it makes things a wholeee lot better.
I stamped with China Glaze Thistle Do Nicely and I love the contrast of the muted blue base and the neon polish. Boom! I need to use this image more often.
Hope you like this combo as much as I do. Join us next Saturday with a stamped look! Bye~
*polish provided in exchange for my honest review.
SATURDAYYY. Best day of the week. Chillin' out, stampin', relaxin' all cool and all.
This weekend is a huge yard sale event going on because I live in an area with a lot of military and they're constantly moving. Hopefully I can find some treasures this weekend. But first let me tell you about my stamping!
Today I have a swatch of a polish that took late last year by storm and is still reigning supreme in the new year! ORLY - Mirrorball is what I'm talkin about and if you click after the jump you can see some more photos and my thoughts on the polish.
Quick post. Here's a manicure following the prompt from a stamping group I'm in on Facebook. The challenge was to stamp over blue. I applied several colors over the sea turtle and blended them a little so you could see each color. On my pinky I stamped something that reminded me of kelp and I love that it added a more sea theme feel.
Base: China Glaze - Seaspray
Stamp: MoYou Explorer 16 & Artist 4
Stamping colors: Barry M - Blackberry, P2 - Artful, China Glaze - Highlight of My Summer & Sunday Funday
Glitter: Powder Perfect - Pretending I'm A Mermaid
